WDYTO Alienor?
I find in theory it's a lovely name, and the original form of Eleanor, and I like the Alienor of Aquitaine association, but I wonder if the "alien" part doesn't make it impossible to use.

I think it's pretty. The "alien" part is fairly apparent, but that's not the first thing I thought of. My first thought was Eleanor/Elinor, and then I saw "alien" shortly thereafter. I don't think the "alien" part makes the name unusable, though. I think spelling and pronunciation problems would be more of an issue. "Alien" doesn't seem like that big of an insult to me. Growing up, people called me Alien sometimes because they thought I was weird. It didn't faze me much.

The "alien" bit definitely looks wrong. Also, even if this is the original form, it does look made up and will be constantly spelled wrong.

The "alien" part probably does make it unusable, but Alienor would be a good name for a character in a fantasy novel.

The purist in me likes this original spelling, however, I don't think anyone would spell it this way. The 'alien' thing isn't nearly as obvious as it is with one of Anna's friends. Her name is Sarah Alien (pronounced ay-LEEN). Hilarious!

I think Alienor is a gorgeous alternative to Eleanor. Truthfully, I didn't notice "Alien" when I first saw the name, but it doesn't bother me now that I see it. It's lovely nonetheless. And I do like aliens. :)

I do see "alien" but I still think it's pretty.

What's wrong with "alien"? Aliens are cool. ;)Me, I prefer the Elinor spelling, but this is interesting. Some people might think you're being kre8tyve, though. A lot of people aren't familiar with the history of names.

I like it.

I think it's really pretty. I do prefer Eleanor, though. But the "alien" part doesn't throw me off at all.
