Meredith
The name Meredith is growing on me, but only for a male. I know that nowadays it's usually female, so is it still usable? Any other thoughts on it? Possible combos?

It's alright with me as long as you pronounce it mer-RED-ith. The MAIR-uh-dith pronunciation is associated with the surname on girls, IMO, and sounds femme to me.
Yay!
I love Meredith! I do like it a lot for a girl, but I like it even more for a boy. It's so smooth and handsome and friendly. And it has the coolest nn ever-- Bedo. :)
I am always very hesitant to say anything is unusable, but a male Meredith in this day would have some trouble.
I love Edward Meredith or Edwin Meredith, but with it as a fn all I have is Meredith Ian. Actually in all of those combos I had it spelled Maredudd or Meredydd. I swear I had more combos... wish I had time to make some right now!

I don't know much about Welsh pronunciation, are those pronounced the same as Meredith then? I like all your combos! If I were going to use it, to be honest, I think I'd have to use it as a middle name.
Meredith is on our list for girls, so perhaps I'm biased, but I think using Meredith for a boy would be cruel. The vast majority of people don't know the name is unisex that it would seem to most like you're simply using a girls' name for a boy. No different than calling a boy Carol. Carol's technically unisex, but only name nerds would know it.
Yesyesyes!
I like Meredith for both genders, but it's so amazing on a boy. Like Alix said, there is a new celebrity baby boy called Meredith (the combo is Meredith Daniel), so I have high hopes of it becoming more popular for boys too. I find Meredith quite hard to pair with any other name. I looked through your PNL, and was struck with Meredith Willoughby - he sounds like a character from 19th century novel to me, but may be a bit too whimsical combo.

I only like it on a boy too. I do think it is usable but you may have to put up with alot of 'it's a girl name' comments by non-name nerds
Meredith is a name which I find too girly for a boy, and too masculine for a girl!
I like it for a girl, but I don't think of it as a very feminine name. Some celebrity just named his son Meredith, so I suppose it is marginally usable on a boy. I think it would be quite usable as a middle name for a boy though.
I also prefer Meredith on a male; though I've only met female Merediths, it's always seemed like a masculine name to me. So I think it's usable.
