It's a sweet name. Not an absolute favourite, but pretty.

Agree there are alot many non-name associations: ass (DH and I like Ash, but are wary for the same reason), Aspen the town, Aspen the tree, the disease mentioned, an Asp.

Not a big fan of place names, either, so that's another knock in my book.

Whenever I see Aspen, I'm reminded of the South Park episode Asspen, so that's all I can think of. It's not that it's an entirely bad name... there's just a lot of teasing potential.

I don't necessarily dislike it but it just reminds me of too many things. Besides the actual tree I think of Aspen, Colorado and my friend's last name.

It reminds me of Asperger's disease. Sorry, major ick.
