Love it in a gp kind of way. I think of Saul Hudson (Slash, former guitarist in Guns N' Roses) when I hear it and he's the reason why I love it.
It's all boy to me. It's terrible on a girl. I think I prefer it as a middle name but I would love to meet a little Hudson.

I love Hudson! I would totally consider using it. It is very masculine but not over the top, it is modern but feels older & has a bit of a preppiness to it.
Love it! So cute for a little boy
Trendy surname as fn.
There are some surnames that I admit I kind of like. But this one feels so "sheep-following-the-crowd" to me.

Well, I'm from NYC so Hudson reminds me of the river that lines my city. The Hudson River isn't a bad thing... but it's not exactly clean, and people like to make jokes about dumping bodies in the Hudson. So, it'd be off limits for me, but if you have no ties to the river, it's a nice enough name!
Sorry if that's not what you were looking for, but it's what came to mind lol.
Christian parents often use the name as a nod to Hudson Taylor.

Hmm, haven't heard of him. Well a namesake of someone you admire is also an acceptable reason to use an otherwise random surname, too. :)
I'm probably just about the only person on here who will like this one, but I really do. Sure it's trendy as all heck, but at least it's not popular too, and I feel it has a strong enough sound to tide it over past early childhood. While I wouldn't use it myself, I like it for someone else's kid. I'd balance it out with a more classic solid middle name, give the kid an option for when he grows up.
Thumbs up to Hudson.

I prefer it as a last name. But it is nice.
OK, now how about that penny? No, kidding :)
