How about Rafy/ Raffy? I really don't think Rafe would be pronounced with an ee.

I agree. Some names just aren't pronounced they way we wish they were and it would be ignorant to try to force your pronunciation on an established name. People would pronounce it wrong all the time.

I tend to agree with Sofia, unfortunately.What about Raffe? I think it could work and is still close to the original spelling.

What about Rafa/Raffa, my friend has a little Rafael and they call him Raffa, but not sure how they spell it. I'd pn Rafe like Rayf as well. But don't think I could use it as a proper name, only a nn.
