Opinions on Laurie?
I've been thinking about using Laurie as my middle name when I change it to Veronica legally. Does Veronica Laurie sound good? It honors my mother, which is really important to me. I just still have qualms about it since it (to me) is a really big decision.

I think Laurie is pretty. My favorite forms are Laura and Laure ("LOR"), but I also like the other suggestions you've received...Laurel, Lauren, Lorena, Lorelei. For sound and flow with Veronica, I best like...Veronica LaureIt's a French variant of Laura, so is likely derived from the same source as your mom's name and also shares almost the same sound as your mom's name. I also think it happens to sound like a Hollywood silver screen siren. :)

I think Veronica Laurie sounds very nice. I like Laurie, it's gently retro. My mother's name is Lori, which I find much harsher and harder to work with. Laurie softens Veronica prettily and gives it more wistfulness.

That does sound really good. And it is nice that you are honoring your mother.

I didn't used to be so keen on Laurie, but one married in to my family and then the baby of an other family member has Laurie as a middle name, and now I think it is quite pretty. This spelling makes a huge difference for me (over Lori, which I still don't like).
Veronica Laurie is lovely!Changing your name is a big decision. When I changed my name, I found my middle name harder than my first name because I'd already *been* a Lucy for 8 years when I decided on Lucia as a 'formal' name. My mn slot was open, I didn't feel attached to my original mn at all and had nothing to go on. I briefly toyed around with names that I thought would have been neat as a middle name but quickly decided to use my grandmother's name as my mn. I LOVE having her name as a part of mine, and I would have regretted it if I hadn't picked something with such significance to me (especially because my original mn was filler). I think, as long as you go with what your gut tells you, you will be happy with your decision in the long run. If you are still having qualms about Laurie but want to honour your mother, you could look in to alternatives and see if any of those click better- Laurel, Lauren, Laura, Lorenza?
Good luck!

How about Laurel? Veronica Laurel sounds beautiful. Veronica Lauren is also nice, but I don't like the repeating 'n' sound in that.

Veronica Laurel is a great suggestion! Or maybe Veronica Lorelei? :)

Lorelei is great!I just have a massive crush on Laurel at the moment, but I will never get to use it because it sounds silly with my partner's last name - like Laurel Jingle.

I really like Veronica, and Laurie is adorable. Maybe you could go with something a little more formal, like Veronica Lauren, Varonica Lorena or Veronica Laura. Veronica Laurie is very pretty though and It's a lovely way to honour your mother. :)
