Lance?
I've been falling for this name lately, what are your thoughts? Like it? Dislike it? Why?

I like it, but it feels a little bit like it's trying too hard to be cool, that's probably because I remember listening to N*Sync and Lance Bass. I do like the connection to Lancelot and knighthood. It's also my dog's name so I have a hard time thinking about it as a human name. Basically I kind of waffle on my opinion about it.

Meh, I find it really boring. For the record, I don't think that associations of "big sticks" or "lancing boils" are strong enough to really bear much weight.

Sorry, but I think of a gay man when I hear it. It's probably due to Lance Bass, who happens to be gay (nothing wrong with that, though).

hee hee I always think of the movie A Knight's Tale when Jocelyn says, "Better a silly girl with a flower, than a silly boy with a stick," and Wat says, "It's called a lance..." I used to like the name but now I think it's fine - nothing really wrong with it. just kind of boring. Oh, and it rhymes with ants and pants.

I've always had a soft spot for Lance. It used to be on my favourite's list but over the years i've become less fond of Lance for some reason, but i'd still be very happy to come across a baby Lance :) and like New_Chloe I also prefer it as a nickname for Lancelot, but thats a GP

I prefer it as a short form for Lancelot, because how cool would it be to meet a person named Lancelot. Lance on its own just makes me think of lancing boils....

Sorry, but I agree with the lancing boils part. It has a good sound though but I always think of it as a verb.
