Adapted Nicknames
I recently got a puppy back around Christmas and named her Georgie. I've noticed that, without consciously thinking about it, I call her Georgie-Pie, shortening the rhyme "Georgie porgie pudding and pie."I know I'm talking about a dog, but does anyone else know someone or go by an "adapted" nickname? Even made up or uncommon nicknames could count. For example, I remember hearing about a guy named Christopher. He wanted a distinctive nickname, so instead of Chris or Topher he went by Isto. I thought it was kind of neat!
