Local BAs, a female Ryan Ashley
I was pleasantly surprised by some of the birth announcements in the paper this week so I thought I'd post them.Female:
Grace Elizabeth (nice, but maybe a little boring)
Ryan Ashley, sister Hannah (I would have thought it was a boy)
Lena Serafina (I really like these names, but maybe not as a combo as it rhymes)
Alice Margaret Ellen (I REALLY like this one, though I prefer just Alice Margaret as I'm not really into two middle names)
Claire Margaret, brother Adam (I like this too)Male:
Alexander Paul, brother Lucas (NMS, but nice)
Dylan James, sister Paige (I like Dylan James as the names are well matched; they give the same sort of feel)
Adam Kenneth, brother Eric (NMS)
Christian, sister Julia (NMS)
Connor Angelo (I like Connor but not so much Angelo)
Gionah, brother Luca (Italian form of Jonah?)
Noah Ted, brother Hallie (I like Noah but not so much Ted)The one that really stood out was Ryan Ashley. She could have been named after her grandfathers!

I really like Alice Margaret Ellen and Claire Margaret. Very beautiful. Lena Seraphina is nice, but it is too rhymey. Ryan Ashley would be handsome on a boy. Dylan James is all right. Adam Kenneth is handsome. I love Christian. Connor Angelo is a cool combo.

Female:
Grace Elizabeth - sweet
Ryan Ashley - I hate Ryan for a girl. I just don't get it. It is so popular for a boy & such a masculine name. What is wrong with Rhiannan? Brian never got used for girls so why Ryan? And what would they name a son?
Lena Serafina - I agree. Nice enough names but together
Alice Margaret Ellen - very dated. I love Alice, like Margaret and don't care for Ellen. I don't think it flows together at all.
Claire Margaret - Margaret Claire sounds better but this is still a timeless, strong yet feminine comboMale:
Alexander Paul - strong, nice enough names
Dylan James - nice but a bit boring. Dylan & Paige go well as siblings.
Adam Kenneth - ok name. Eric & Adam go well as siblings; they have a similar feel to me
Christian - ok
Connor Angelo - both names are nice but they are such different styles, they don't go together
Gionah - Luca is much better than this. If not the Italian Jonah, a mispelling of Genoa maybe?
Noah Ted - this name does not flow at all. I like Noah & Ted is better as a nickname. Noah Theodore would be lovely

I like:Serafina
Alice Margaret Ellen
Claire Margaret -- although I also would have liked Claire Marguerite
Julia Alexander Paul
Dylan James
Adam Kenneth -- handsome comboBTW, my niece is named Ryan Michelle (Michael is her father). She was supposed to have been a Nicholas Ryan and my sister was just floored that she was a girl. I tried to talk her out of it.

Actually, the Italian form of Jonah is Giona, not Gionah.
