I say lye-lack. I don't think it is namey enough in sound ... the "ack" sound makes it seem contrived. Seems flimsy like Tulip or Daffodil. The color is too pale and delicate to be inspiring (I feel the same way about Lavender, Cyan, and Saffron).Lilac A. Rug
... just kiddingIt needs a quirky or even kooky middle name. Traditional-pretty names don't sit right near it IMO.

My grandmother used to have lilac bushes and every mother's day we had dinner at her house and she gave each mother her own bouquet. It's a wonderful memory. So for me Lilac is inspiring. I can understand what you mean though. Lilac Paisley is so wordy it makes it great.
Piera Lilac is nice too
