American actress Drea de Matteo and Shooter Jennings (real name Waylon Albright) welcomed son Waylon Albert 'Blackjack' on April 6th. Baby Blackjack joins big sister Alabama Gypsyrose, 3, and carries on his father and country crooner grandfather Waylon Jennings's first name, his middle name is after his maternal grandfather.
American actress Mariska Hargitay and husband, actor Peter Hermann (full name Karl Peter Frederic Albert) adopted daughter Amaya Josephine (born about a week ago). She joins older brother August Miklos Friedrich Hermann (4).
About the name she said:
The family settled on Amaya Josephine — an adaptation of one of Hargitay’s favorite names, Maya.
“I liked that name, but I wanted her to have the same initials as August,” Hargitay explains. “I thought adding the ‘A’ was so feminine. Amaya sounded so open and feminine and beautiful — just like her.”
American musician Brandon Flowers and wife Tana welcomed son Henry on March 9th. He joins older brothers Gunnar, 19 months, and Ammon (named after a Book of Mormon prophet), 3½.
