I love the name Angus. It screams Scottish Highlands to me, which is one of my favourite places. I don't think I'd use Gus as a nickname (for personal reasons, but I can see it on someone else's Angus). I think ultimately I wouldn't use it, just because it's one letter away from anus, and I see a lot of teasing with that name.
I can't think of any combos off the top of my head, but I would more than likely use more Scottish / Gaelic / Celtic names. Alistair Angus (I went to write it the other way, but it just didn't flow) is nice. I love Seamus as well, but I see that as a fn with Angus as a mn. I can't picture Angus with more American names ... Angus Jayden just makes me cringe, just like Dezzz'TinE does.
