Angus reminds me of the beef. I don't particularly like either the look or the sound of Angus, to be honest, although the nickname Gus is cute. Henry, Lucy and Angus makes a good sibset, I think.

I don't get the appeal. It sounds like an old Scotsman's name.

I don't mind the name Angus at all and the nn Gus would be fine imo. Henry, Lucy and Angus makes a very cute sib set and I like it a lot. I'd like it even better if it were Harry, Lucy and Angus, but that's just me.

It is reasonably popular in Australia so I associate it more with people I know with the name than cows, which seems to be the issue most Americans have with it. The son of a family friend is Angus nn Gus and I think it awesome. It is such a rugged and strong name.

For a Scottish name I prefer Hamish.

I automatically think of steak and cows. It's not one I'd myself, however, I think it works well with Henry and Lucy. How about August? I think it sounds great with Henry and Lucy.

I love the name Angus. It screams Scottish Highlands to me, which is one of my favourite places. I don't think I'd use Gus as a nickname (for personal reasons, but I can see it on someone else's Angus). I think ultimately I wouldn't use it, just because it's one letter away from anus, and I see a lot of teasing with that name.

I can't think of any combos off the top of my head, but I would more than likely use more Scottish / Gaelic / Celtic names. Alistair Angus (I went to write it the other way, but it just didn't flow) is nice. I love Seamus as well, but I see that as a fn with Angus as a mn. I can't picture Angus with more American names ... Angus Jayden just makes me cringe, just like Dezzz'TinE does.

I am torn on Angus. I want to like it. I like the sound of it, the look of it, and the Scottishy image. But since I live in the US where it's pretty uncommon as a name, and I have cattle farmers in my family, I associate it too much with the cattle! It's a struggle to get past.

I do like the nn Gus, and I think it makes Angus more approachable. I think Henry, Lucy, and Angus go together well, but there's something trendy-British about it.

I don't have any Angus-as-a-fn combos. Hmm. It's pretty tough, so maybe would be nice with something that softens it or makes it more playful?

I love Henry and Lucy but I've never like Angus. I always find it silly. Probably because I live on a farm and I hear Angus I think beef. Like yeah I have four angus heifers in the backyard. Plust I know this is going to sound really weird but gross + puss = Gus. I combine words a lot. Like that zit is leaky gus. Sorry
