Octavia and Romany
WDYT of the names Octavia and Romany for girls? Do they go well together as a sibling set?
Also, how do YOU pronounce Romany? I say Roe-man-ee
P.S. I am aware that Romany/Romani is the name of a language and that might cause confusion in certain areas of the world.
Thanks! :)

Octavia - pretty in a quirky off beat kind of way
Romany - quirky & interesting in a good way. I would pronounce ROE mah nee.
As a sibset, Romany comes off more masculine to me. I think because Octavia is so strong & old fashioned that I think of when people just added an a at the end of a name to make it feminine. So Romany doesn't come off as feminine paired with Octavia. On it's own though, I do think girl.

I adore Octavia. It's beautiful and a bit quirky - just my sort of name.
I don't really care for Romany. I prefer Roma, Romina, Romilly, and Rosemary. Romany would work as a sister name to Octavia, but I think that Roma, Romina, and Rosemary would sound better.

They're believable. Octavia and Romilly would sound better.
I like Octavia. I don't like Romany, but apparently it's a name. It's the same as naming the kid Gypsy to me. I looked it up on Wikipedia, and here's the list of entries under Romany.

Octavia is nice.
Romani/Romany is not just a language, but also an ethnic group. It looks tacky as a name.

I love Octavia. It's in my top ten for girls. Somehow it manages to feel both stately and fun all at the same time for me. I also love Tavie (tay-vee) as an occasional nickname for it.
I'm not fond of Romany, which on sight I pronounce as roe-muh-nee / roe-muhn-ee.
They're fine for siblings.

Octavia is awesome. I'd much rather Romilly to Romany personally..sounds much more name like to me. Octavia nn Tavie & Romilly nn Romy would be one of the coolest sibsets ever. Octavia and Romany is nice too, but I dislike Romany on its own.
Oh, and I prn. it the same way as you.

Wow, that would be quite the sibset. Yeah, they do go together, it just feels very formal to me. They might need some fun or cutesy nicknames. Tavia and Romy for example would help soften the names up if necessary.
I say roh-MAHN-ee

Both are beautiful names and go well together. I would pronounce Romany/i ro-mahn-ee
