It is a bit prim and proper. I wouldn't use it because it sounds too British, and I'm not British.

Seriously, though, I see nothing wrong with the name. It's a little stuffy, but in a good way. It still sounds approachable and warm.

It is very upper-class. I like it.
I can see it that way, but I more see it as a very average guy name. I've been coming around on it lately. It's loveably doofy.

Yes, in my opinion. I don't know where you live, but I have always thought it to be very British. It's got a nice sound to it, and I think it is perfectly usable, but it is a bit proper.
