Elias
WDYT of Elias?I'd originally liked the name Elijah, but thinking about it, it was very biblical and really stood out as Elijah the Prophet. Which didn't put me off but you know what kids are like these days and Elijah is very uncommon were I live so I think Elias makes a nice alternative as it's still a lovely name and isn't as obviously biblical.

I love Elias and I much prefer it to Elijah (which is also nice but Elias is less common and I also prefer the sound of Elias).

I love Elias. I also think it is easier to say than Elijah.Though maybe it is pronounced Ee-LIE-as in English? In Swedish and other countries it is pronounced Eh-LEE-us. But even so, I think Elias is easier to pronounce than Elijah, it must be the "J-sound" in the middle that I don't like."But it’s all right now.

I love Elias as it's very handsome and so underused. I like it much more than Elijah. Definitely a thumbs up from me._____

I really love Elias, it is actually in the New Testament because it's the the way they refer to Elijah the prophet. I like it more as a middle name right now (Henry Elias) but it would be perfect when used with almost any name! :) Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Elias is alright, but I honestly do prefer Elijah. Though Elias is a bit more unusual, I like Elijah better because of its Biblical-ness, while Elias is just one form of a Biblical name.

A big thumbs up. It's sophisticated, and slightly exotic. The nn Eli is an added plus. What's not to like?

One of my favourite classics..It's a great name. I'm a fan of these Greek style names like Elias, Andreas, and others. Elijah is a good name, but it's getting quite popular.
