You're right. It's pertly offbeat and fresh and mod-spare. I rather like it. After all, if Evening is gaining some use as a name, why not Day? Day is also similar to the retro (and therefore apt to make a comeback) choices Ray, Kay, May and Fay. I suppose the drawback is that it can be rather word-esque and might require a few repetitions or clarifications ("No, it's Day. Like...Day. Like 'What a lovely day'...").

I think I'll experiment with some combos. It does work very nicely in the middle as it is short and airy. But I'll try to use it out front as well.

I don't like it as a name. I'm not really into word names very much. They always end up reminding me of celebrity baby names.

Day in the middle name slot is kind of cool to me. I don't think I would care for it as a FN. It does have a certain appeal though, kind of like Sky or Skye.

It's better than Daylee...which I've seen on a girl. Or Dayson and Daylin --boys I've met.

I wouldn't use it as a first name, but as a mn, it's very similar to Mae and Kay and Jay, so why not??? Eilidh Day would be lovely!!!

I think it'd make a great middle name. I've thought about using it myself, but I'd probably use Dee over Day because Dee is a family name.

I've seen Daelyn, but I think that's really trendee. Day alone is nicer.

I like it. A childhood friend of mine has the middle name Dae (her first name is Holly, so lots of jokes there).

As long as it doesn't come out to a funny combo like my dear friend Holly Dae, then I think it's totally usable.

No, I like Day. I think its a great middle name. I have thought about using it or Dee to honor my brother whose name is Dakota. I have toyed around with Beatrice Day and Eliza Day a lot lately.

What about Dia? It means "day" in Spanish. I know two Girls named Dia. One is Dia Jasmine and she's about 3 years old. The other is Dia (unsure of last name) and she's in her mid forties.

It would be lovely as a middle name. As a first name... you're looking to get your child teased.

Day sounds really silly as a name.
