I'm really not a fan of one syllable names like Femme and Bea, which seem more appropriate as nicknames for longer names. Shan is the name I go by (nn for Shannon), so I'm a bit partial to this one, but am glad that I have the longer Shannon to fall back on for more formal situations. I like Bea as a nn for Beatrix. The others I like are Cosette and Ina. It is unfortunate that Elise has become so common. I live about a girl named Anneliese, and have really grown to like this similar sounding name.
