I'd rather see Carrie as short for Caroline, but Jessie gets a pass from me because it's been around for a long time as a full name, coming from a nickname for Jean, and I like Jess but am not keen on Jessica or Jessamine. And although I'd rather see Ann or Anne, Annie can have a pass too.
