I like Cordelia better because I prefer the nn of Cordy or Delia rather than Corny or Nelia. Nell isn't bad, but I just think of Corny when I hear Cornelia.
I also like the Shakespeare reference of Cordelia and the fact that their was a character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and later it's spinoff, Angel) with this name). It made it a much more real name to me.
On a side note, when I was in the play "The Music Man", my character only had a last name and I made her first name Cornelia because I thought it fit the kind of backwoods Iowa character.
