Louis
Louis is recently moving up on our list of possible name's for Peter's brother. What do you think of Louis as a first name and as a sibling of Peter?

Pronounced Lewis, I like it very much. But the sound of Loo-ee and the shape one's face has to take when saying it just don't appeal at all. Peter and Lewis would be handsome and strong.

I think it's a great name and I like it a lot as a sibling to Peter.

I like it a lot and would consider it myself, although I'd dither over whether to go for the Lewis spelling. I think it's great with Peter.

Perfect!I think Louis is a wonderful name in itself, and it also is fantastic with Peter!

It's one of my favorite names ever and I love it with Peter. I like Louis-pronounced-Lewis, myself - but I also really en¡oy the ambiguity, not necessarily the idea that people will only have a 50% chance of being "right," but the idea that there's more than one "right" answer. I'd call him Lewis but those who called him lou-EE wouldn't be wrong. I dunno. I think it's cool.

Peter & Louis are sooo cute together! Peter has always been a very adorable name to me. I like Louis to & I like it spelled either Louis or Lewis... good job picking them out!

Peter and Louis is a great pair of brothers! I find Louis has a bit of confusion in terms of pronunciation. My favorite one is LOO-is, so I'd spell it Lewis.

I love Peter and Louis together! I love both of them individually, too. :)Are you pronouncing Louis in English or French? Either way, I love it. It's always been on our list, too, but not high up enough that I think we'd ever use it.

Thanks! We are pronouncing in English. The pronunciation confusion seems to be the main drawback of this name.

Yeah, but if you're pronouncing it that way you could always spell it Lewis. I think Louis looks nicer, though. It really wouldn't cause a huge issue. I think most people would assume Louis unless corrected, or they'd at least ask which it was.

loveloveloveLouis is one of my favourites. I say it the French way. It is so stately and yet also approachable at the same time. I love the idea of Peter and Louis as brothers. I rather like it said the English way in that case though - Peter and Lewis. So adorably old-school adventurous!

I think they're great together as long as you're pronouncing it LOO-ee (rather than LOO-is).

is it Loo-EE, LOO-ee, or LOO-iss?Just the ambiguity is a problem for me. I tend to say LOO-iss, so I prefer the unambiguous English spelling Lewis. I think non-French-speaking people saying it with the final S silent, sounds really affected.Other than that, it sounds great for Peter's brother. thumbs up.

I agree with the pronunciation problem. We would pronounce it LOO-is. Visually, I prefer the Louis spelling, plus it is a family name, but I see how Lewis could bypass the amibiguity.

I really like Louis. I slightly prefer the spelling Lewis though, but Louis is still really nice. I think Louis goes really well with Peter.
