Siobhan, Sinead, or Saoirse?
Which do you prefer, and why?
Also, what do you think of Laoise? I'm on an Irish name kick today. :)

Saoirse no doubt
It's got to be my favourite Celtic name. It's fresher and more interesting than the other two, though I like Siobhan as well, not so much Sinead.

Siobhan
I like the way it looks and sounds the best. It was kind of nice to hear it used in an independent movie I recently saw, too.

Sinead
I adore both Siobhan and Sinead and really like Saoirse. But if I were asked to list my top three Irish girl's names they would be Niamh, Aoife and Sinead (although Mairead gives Sinead a good run for her money). So of course I have to vote for Sinead here. It's so delicate and feminine sounding. I don't know why it isn't more popular.
My niece is Clare Siobhan. Her father wanted her to be Siobhan Clare, which would have been terrific too. I see the name Siobhan as Sinead's more robust sister. :-)

I like Saorise the best. I like the look of Siobhan, but I do not like the sound of it. Sinead is just okay to me.

Saoirse.
By far the prettiest sounding and most visually appealing to me!
Laoise, unfortunately, doesn't do anything for me. Sounds a little icky to me.

I like Saoirse best from these 3 (I prefer the SAIR-sha pronunciation to SEER-sha)
Siobhan is really 80s to me. I know like, 5 Siobhans all born in the 80s and no others, older or younger.
Sinead doesn't really sound pretty to me. Neither does Laoise.

Saoirse because of the sound and look. I also like Siobhan, however, Saoirse is more approachable IMO.
Laoise is cool. I like the look, but the sound is a little boring.

Saoirse! Definately
I like all three, but I like Saoirse the best, which unfortunately would probably be the most likely to be misspelled and mispronounced here in the States. It has the prettiest sound though.
Laoise doesn't really do much for me. It reminds me of the word "leash." I prefer Siobhan, Sinead, and Saoirse. How about Caoimhe? I think it's really pretty when it's pronounced KEE-va.

I love Caoimhe, too.
I love all three! I'd say Saoirse is my favorite, but Sinead is in a close second. Siobhan has a decent amount of popularity in my area (a lot of Irish families, Siobhan and Sinead are the go to names when you want to be more Irish than Megan, Kathleen or Erin) so I find it a bit tired and trying to hard, but it is still just beautiful! Laoise is cute to, but for some reason just doesn't sound complete to me.
