I kind of like it (I am a huge Gilmore Girls fan though).
It is very exotic, kind of mysterious and uncommon. I do think more people have heard of it bc of Gilmore Girls but it still could be difficult for some people to spell or pronounce.
I like Lori or Lora as nickname possibilities.

I like it better as a middle name too. Lorelei isn't really my style.

Pretty, one of my name choices myself. It's not heard too often ..I know I've never heard it where I live cept on tv. Go for it! :)

I love the name Lorelei! its okay for the first name slot, but I'm happier with it as a middle name... Majority of combo's I use with it, have it as a middle name.. I had an obsession with Serena Lorelei for awhile...

I love it as a middle name for something short and sweet like Alice Lorelei or Eden Lorelei
