I don't know. The pounds always give weird names.
I adopted a battle-scarred, crinkled eared cat named Mary Claire. I never understood that one - who on earth would name a cat Mary Claire?!? I am betting that someone who was a big Star Trek fan when the dog came in and that's how she got the name.Plus this board isn't really a good way to judge how interesting names are. It's why I miss NameNerds so much - there was a wide variety of naming styles and everyone was willing to voice an opinion. Here if it falls out of the realm of hipster, classic or trendy-bashing you don't get many replies - unless it's 'out there.'
