Well wouldn't they still kick the crap out of you if they knew you used Ebba as a sneaky way to honour Abba? what about using something from a favourite song?

Nah, they don't find that as bad ; ) Ebba is "more of a name". Well, I've thought of names from ABBA songs, and came up with:
Nina
Suzy (I have a cat with this name, so...)
Mia
Helen
Carrie
Summer
Autumn [from an unreleased song Hamlet III]
Elaine
CassandraI honestly can't see myself sing any of those =\ I'm amazingly awkward...

What about Fern, from Fernando? Or even Louise "Lou" from Waterloo?

... Fern... I think I might like that... I'd have to let it grow on me a bit more, but I guess I like it. Louise is my middle name. I really dislike it. I love Louisa, though :)
