Wren
I first saw this name posted on this board by someone else a couple of months ago, the sound of it was familiar, and I also liked it, but forgot about it. And then I walking along, and came across a Wren St. and I remembered it. Its also come up in some research as the last name of some dude.
I actually really do like it, but I was wondering how I would use it? I don't really like one syllable first names, so Wren would probably go in the middle name slot. I like Phoebe Wren.
But, do you think it could work as a nickname for anything?
Any thoughts and ideas are appreciated :)

There's always Rentia (REN-sha), which is very pleasant. Emmarentia is too operatic, and also a suburb in the town next door.
Aren't phoebes also birds? In which case it'd be too feathery by far.

I actually didn't know Phoebe was a type of bird... and wasn't even sure with Wren until my friend pointed it out to me...
Ah. Just wait until Robert Frost catches up with you ... !
Wren was my great-grandmother's maiden name. So I've always been partial to it. I love it as a fn, as is. But it could also work as a nn for Renee / Renata, Karen or Lauren / Laurentine ("-teen") / Laurentia ("lo-REN-shuh").
I've had the combo Wren Victoria / Victoria Wren in my head ever since I saw a Christmas card. It was a Victorian painting of a wren on a snowy brick wall, pecking at a red berry on a bush. It seemed so perfect.

I'm a fan of Wren. I'm always happy to see it. It's sweet and a little whimsical, yet sturdy at the same time.
Phoebe Wren is cute.
