Also, looking at the original Greek spelling, it is a th sound and not just a silent h. The theta gives it away. I do prefer it w/ the k. Still prob'ly nms, but better... ok on someone else's kid, I suppose.

I love Thekla - this spelling. My brother had a friend called Adrian who had sister Vivian and Thekla. I thought it was a great sibset though I don't like Adrian overly.

I like Thecla Roisin and Thecla Vivian.

I like it. I had a dog named Tekla who I loved very much so it makes me think of her. I'm not sure I like the look of Thecla though. I much prefer Thekla or just Tekla. It is indeed a neglected name and I would love to see it used more.

I'm sure it's a beautiful name in theory, but both the spelling and the pronunciation prevent me from getting past 'Tecla', which means 'key' as in keyboard or keypad in Portuguese. I really like some of the middle names, though, including the lovely Winifred.
