Iris, Zinnia & Hazel
I don't have many names on my short list that are English (or that I like the sound of with an English accent). Of the girl names I'd feel most inclined to use for an English kid, these are three of the 4 I'd use.Hypothetically speaking, if you came across 3 sisters named Iris, Zinnia and Hazel, what might your first reactions about their parents be?
a) Trying to be themey and are therefore cheesy (or creative)
b) Gardeners or flower aficionados
c) Just plain attracted to botanical names by coincidence
d) Other
e) No reaction about the parents, only the names themselvesAre Iris, Zinnia and Hazel annoyingly botanical together? In my mind:
Iris is more "old lady"
Zinnia is out-there, and a flower name if you know your flowers
Hazel is more of a colour
so it's not obvious to me, but I'm not sure if I'm the only one. Thanks!
