Patsy

It's got a lot of charm. I do like Patricia, but not Patty. Patsy would be a good alternative nickname for Patricia, but I wouldn't use it on its own.
To me it's not so much that it's dated as its meaning as a slang term. So I'd stay away from it just because of that.
But that aside, I do like the sound of it!

It's alright. I don't like Patty or Pat or Patricia. Pat reminds me of the "ambiguous person" on... was it Saturday Night Live?
For me, Patsy is in the same league as Mamie, Betty, and Mabel - old-fashioned and musty. Not as bad as Bertha, Fannie, and Mildred, which are fugly. But not as good as Alice, Olive, or Pearl, which are charming.

Patsy Cline
Country legend. nms, but nothing wrong with it.

To me, Patsy is the ultimate fugly name. It makes me think of a car dealership in Flint, MI.
Yeah, 'patsy' seems like an insult to me too.
I don't really like Patsy - it feels fusty. Or Patty - that sounds really twee to me. Patsy is used for men here as much as for women. I began to like it a bit more lately since I found out it used to be a nick name for Martha or Matilda, two names I really like. Pat is ok though.
I don't see Patsy as edgy yet.

I think Patsy has definitley reached the area of edginess and i would love to see it used. Although it's not to my particular style i appreciate that it is a lovely retro name, well worth a revival
This is what Patsy makes me think of:
(From Merriam-Webster Online)
Main Entry: pat·sy
Pronunciation: \ˈpat-sç\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural pat·sies
Etymology: perhaps from Italian pazzo fool
Date: 1903
a person who is easily manipulated or victimized, see also pushover
Not a nice namesake IMO. It's a cute name outside of that, though.
Patrice is really nice! Thanks!
Pattison... too Twilight for me. And thinking about Pattison as a Payton/Madison mashup is even more Renesmee-tastic.
Patton though - now there's a helluva namesake for a young girl. Old Blood and Guts or whatever the heck they called him. Gutsy Patsy I'd call her. Or Bloody Patsy, when she's bad.

Sorry, not a fan. It gives me an uneasy feeling. It registers somewhere between a pat on the back, and cow patties. Um... I wish I could be more positive. I like Mabel?
