Emmeline/Emmaline pronunciation
I had always just assumed that Emmeline and Emmaline were pronounced like EM-uh-line, but just now I looked Emmeline up and found that it's pronounced EM-uh-leen. I don't like the listed pronunciation very much. It's the same thing with Madeline. Since the first (and only) Madeline I knew went by MAD-uh-line, I always pronounced the name as such, but a few years ago here on BtN I discovered that Madeline is typically pronounced MAD-uh-linn.So, what are your opinions of Emmeline and Emmaline pronounced with LINE rather than LIN? Would it cause confusion? I personally find it more confusing with the soft vowel sound, but I'm biased because of my experience with Madeline.
