Maggie MagnoliaI have no idea why they didn't name this child Magnolia Margrete or something like that and just call her Maggie. I feel like this is akin to naming someone Robbie Robert or Betty Bettina...

MaybeThey wanted to use Maggie as a first name but they still wanted her to have a full name to fall back on if she chose to do so? It's odd but I could understand it.

Is Maggie a nn for Magnolia or is her proper name Maggie Magnolia Lastname? If so, meh. Just meh.

Yeah. That's an odd one. Happily, Maggie is cute and she can use Magnolia as her "formal" name if she really wants to.
