Saira
I encountered the name Saira today. At first, I thought that it might be a trendy spelling of Sarah, but after looking it up, I found that it's an Arabic name that possibly means "traveller." The meaning is lovely. Together, the name and the meaning remind me of a woman with a long flowing skirt traversing the desert in the middle of the night.
I like it pronounced SIGH-ra, but I'm guessing that sah-EE-rah is probably more accurate.
WDYT?

I like it. I'd use it :)
I had a friend named Saira in middle school. She was Indian, but Muslim and so I think it is the Arabic name, The pronounced it as" SIGH- ra". I really like it and find it beautiful.
I have heard it pronounced zah-EE-rah and I think it's pretty. Not one of my faves but pretty none the less.
It is pronounced SIGH-ra :) I have a friend with a sister named this, they're originally from Pakistan.
I really like it and it has a great meaning!

I came across it a while back on a documentary. It was pronounced Sigh-ra there. I think it's lovely.
I pronounced it SAY-rah right off the bat but sah-EE-rah is much more attractive. I like it and I would consider it for a character. Right now it's too close to my cat's name (Sora) for me to use it for anything else.
