I've been thinking about this name lately. When I was a kid I kind of liked it because I thought it sounded edgy and cool. Then I went off it for awhile because it got towards the obnoxious end of "edgy and cool." But now I'm seeing it in a completely different light, and I think it has a very humble and venerational appeal to it.
I wanted to try pairing it with something else along those lines, like:
Dominic AlphonsusDominic AnselmDominic JulianDominic AngelusDominic IgnatiusDominic BonifaceDominic BenedictusDominic FranciscusDominic Columba (oh, I think we have a winner!)
But also I think it would go well with very proper, upstanding stuff like:
Dominic WardDominic AlbertDominic CecilDominic RichardDominic EugeneDominic BasilDominic IraDominic Cyril
Or maybe even more earthy things, like:
Dominic AriDominic RowanDominic EzraDominic FineesDominic Rafe /
RalphDominic Evan
Or I don't know, I think it even works as dark and adventurous, like:
Dominic VincentDominic DesmondDominic Valentine
WDYT? Other ideas?
(Then I also recently found out that my new nephew (due in November) is going to be named
Dominic. I'm pretty sure the middle name will be
Lee, after my SIL's father. Meh. But I was really happy to hear
Dominic given they were otherwise going with
Landon! And his big brother is named
Elijah, in case you're curious.)
