I thought I'd invented Linneth all by myself as a character name when I was 16, but of course it already existed! It's basically a variation of Lynette and has the same meaning ("little lake"). The variations I like are:Lynneth
Linneth
Lyneth
Llyneth

Linneth is a much better spelling...It looks real, if that makes sense, while Lynneth doesn't.

I know what you mean - it looks like a whole and complete name in itself, rather than something cobbled together.
