I know a Veronica, so the name first, reminds me of her. Secondly, it reminds me of Betty and Veronica, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Thirdly, it reminds me of the Elvis Costello song, Veronica.

I love Veronica the way I love "evil" characters on TV shows and whatnot. Veronica is a masterpiece of deviousness and cunning. It is not a "sweet" name by any means - but that does not mean it is bad. I like a few bad-girl names, and Veronica is one of them. It's so dark and rich red and powerful. It's like the devil's food cake of names. So bad, but irresistable. Veronica has witch magic in her veins.

It reminds me of a girl who lived up the road from me. I never knew her very well though. Besides that it just has this great feel to it. I think it's the kind of name that a person really makes their own.

I used to dislike this name, because it made me think of snooty, spoiled girls, or at least very privileged ones. I blame TV and early childhood interpretations of the Betty and Veronica comic book covers.

However, I've grown to like this name a lot more recently. Also, I just last week watched the (now dated) TV show Veronica Mars. Finally, a positive TV character has the name Veronica!
