Petra, Simone and Astrid
Refreshing my "future children" list. ;) What do you think of these for fns? Also, what boys' names do you think go well with them? I like Edmund a lot.
Thank you!
Thank you!

I like all these names, they are slightly offbeat, classy, and intellectual or artsy. They would be so great as a set! I would personally consider Simone and Astrid for a child (although I'd have to 'spend' my two or three most favorite names first), I like them that much. I wouldn't use Petra personally, but I like it for other people.
Edmund would indeed match these names, I think. Someone suggested August, which I think is super. Other ideas:
Constantin / Konstantin
Herman
Lucas
Milo / Miles
Klaus
Maximilian
Leo / Leon
Peter (if your Petra turned out to be a boy!)
Jerome

I love all of them and I think Edmund fits pretty well.
I say PET-ra with a short "a". I like August a lot with the girls' names! Thanks.
Wow. Such a nice collection of overlooked gems. :-)
Given the connection in the Bible between Simon and Peter, I'm leery of Petra and Simone as siblings / sisters. It's too distracting for me. But it's not a negative association by any means. And if it doesn't bother you then yes, Petra and Simone are lovely classics that deserve more attention than they get.
Petra and Astrid belong together. They both sparkle and shimmer and dance in my mind. Love them. Simone is more sultry, but as a classic she fits right in with Petra and Astrid. I like how the sounds of Petra, Simone and Astrid are all different. They rings nicely in my ears, all together.
Edmund and Petra makes me think of "The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe." Again, not a bad association. And I love both names. Classics almost always go well together in sibling sets. Edmund has more the deep, rich resonance of Simone. It's not a sparkler the way Petra and Astrid are. I'm being extremely picky of course, because I can be. In truth, if ever I saw a sibling set as classy as Petra, Simone, Astrid and Edmund I'd smile for days. :-)
May I try?
