Cookie
I met a girl named Cookie the other day. She's about 5. I asked if Cookie was short for something and the mother said her name is Cooklyn Nicole.

Let's hope the mother was pulling your leg. It's a sad day when I'm rooting for the kid's name to be Brooklyn Nicole, nn Cookie. I have no problem with nns being odd or even weird. As long as the child has a more formal name to fall back on, then I don't see any lasting harm. But here, Cooklyn is the real problem to me. I really, really hope her name is Brooklyn. *sigh*

Is there *any* word that can't have -lyn tacked on to make a name? *headdesk* Plus, Cooklyn makes me think of Crooklyn. :/At least Cookie is rather cute, even though it puts me to mind of a chubby, middle-aged lady.

Cooklyn is laughable, though Cookie isn't much better.

Wow. Cookie is way better than Cooklyn. Cookie has retro spunk - Cooklyn is limp and soggy. I wonder if Cook is a family name and they wanted to give it a female edge? What's wrong with Cookette then, I ask you.

Ew. I thought Cookie was really bad and now her real name is Cooklyn? I hate it. Sorry.

Presumably a female form of Brooklyn! Oh my word.Perhaps Dagwood and Blondie's daughter is also a Cooklyn. Cooklyn Bumstead. It has a certain ring to it.
