Myron
Myron just popped into my head today. I hadn't really thought about it much for a while. I think I'm liking it. WDYT?

I haven't thought about it for a while either, but it has been on my list forever. 9 votes, barely more than one star. Why? Such a cool, butch sounding name to me, and not too eccentric. I really like it, just the sound and look anyway. The only things that ever put me off it are, I don't know any Myrons so I have no concept of what associations it might have for people (like, does some group use it much more than anyone else?), and the way the BtN entry suggests it is used mainly in reference to a saint.

Makes me think of a school principal I had. It's ok. I'm pretty neutral on it, but appreciate the fact that being rather under-used, there wouldn't be 50 of them in his school district, so on that note, it's somewhat refreshing.

Is it feminine or masculine? I haven't heard it before :)

Masculine.

I'm always glad to see names from the past brought back. That said, Myron has never been a favorite of mine. I could grow to love it. But I'm not there yet.Myra ("MIE-ruh"), on the other hand, is so attractive to me. I don't know if the names are related though.
