Duncan
This name seems really cute and old-mannishly charming to me today. Do you think a kid would be tormented by Donut jokes his whole life though? :(

Yeah, there are the doughnuts it makes me think of. And also a breifly appearing character in my favorite video game. And also I think the "unc" sound is very unnattractive. I can see it being fun on an old man, though.

No, I don't think so and I am going to pretend I didn't see any such comment about "d*****" because that will screw Duncan up for me for life. I love Duncan, and I actually knew one once upon a time.

I rather like Duncan too, although it is the name of my uncle's stepson so I don't think I would use it. I also knew a Duncan at school, and the donut jokes did follow.

Duncan's very dashing! I'm decidedly fond of it.I highly doubt that someone named Duncan would be unrelentingly subjected to jokes about Dunkin' Donuts.

As long as the kid wasn't overweight, there shouldn't be a problem. Duncan's kinda nice; it makes me thing of a black Irish guy about 6'3" who plays football and loves everything ever written by James Joyce... no clue why. LOL!

May be ok. It always makes me think of a town in BC that is unfortunately dubbed "drunken Duncan" at times, though I doubt that would be his nn in elementary school. Aside from that, I'm rather neutral on the name. Not sure how many doughnut jokes he'll be lumped w/.

I love Duncan. It's a shame you don't hear it that often, because I think it's charming.

I know a guy named Duncan. Very quiet, loves his train set.I don't get the 'donut' reference. It makes me think of Macbeth, if anything.

Knew a cute and very gentlemanly Duncan love it!

Duncan sounds either manly and gruff or lame and nerdy. I guess it depends on what kind of kid Duncan is. I was also thinking McLeod (Highlander).

I would not make donut jokes unless he becomes a cop then Donut jokes galore. I kinda of like the name Duncan for how the name sounds.

I knew a Duncan in school. As far as I know he wasn't teased. I like the name somewhat - it's a very young name to me, not old.

I'm not very keen on Duncan. It seems old and nerdy. Being an Australian, the only teasing I can think of is "dunny can", which is slang for toilet.

I know a first grader named Duncan. He's a cutie.

I've always liked Duncan. It's very dignified, without being stuffy. Dunkin Donuts can go dunk themselves. ;)

I don't think that would be a huge teasing point. The only one I could think of is the similar sound of Duncan and "drunken" maybe. I can definitely see it on a younger person-- I agree it could be a very cute name. I wouldn't let the similarity to Dunkin' Donuts put you off a classic name, either.
