New BAs
Over the weekend an online friend had a baby boy, Archimedes Asher "Mede" (older brothers are D'Artagnan "D'art" and Peregrin "Pippin"), and a real life friend had a baby girl, Johanna Kathryn (older sister is Abigail Teresa, and not sure why Kathryn is spelled that way).I actually think Archimedes Asher is pretty awesome. I mostly think it's cool that they dare to use such unusual names. And I think Johanna Kathryn is an absolutely gorgeous name, but I do wish they'd spelled it Katherine.(And in case you've been wondering where I've been, our power was out for a few days.)

Peregrin?!The Lord of the Rings fan in me just soared. It's even better that she's using the nickname Pippin! Total GP of mine, I'm not brave enough to use it.Johanna Kathryn and Abigail Teresa are lovely.

That's the second D'Artagnan that I've heard of now. I had one in my class this past year (he's now 13).

Archimedes Asher is pretty awesome. I love Peregrin(e) "Pippin" but it's a GP.

That is a pretty interesting sibset-- I especially like Pippin, though! Johanna Kathryn is great, though I'd probably spell it Johanna Catharine or Katherine. But even with the Kathryn spelling, it's still wonderful.

WHATArchimedes, D'Artangnan and Peregrin, are you kidding me. Is this like a blog you follow or just someone you met online? That is a amazing. I love Archimedes.

It's someone I know from another message board. Another name I remember they were thinking about for a boy was Oberon, and for a girl I think they liked Rune or Autumn. I didn't think their girl's choices quite lived up to the boy ones!
