I know one beagle and one teenager named Lucy. Among my friends, it had a surge in popularity after Across the Universe came out and the Beatles became popular again. I think the Beatles adds to it's popularity. Lucy and Jude. That's a big reason why I like Jude or why I started liking Jude.

I don't really like the name. I think it is too nickname-y to be a full name and I don't like the full names associated with it with it.

It is a strong name though. Lucille Ball is a great namesake. I prefer it to Lucia, Lucinda, or any other variant.
