Fay

I know a Tessa Fay, and a Faye or two. I've never seen a Fae and I don't like the look of it.
I think it probably would get an -e rather often! Which I agree is a pity. Fay is fine as it is.
I would never use Faith, or indeed Hope or Charity!

I am not a fan - it's too fey for :P Seriously I find it a bit twee.
I came across a Faye the other day - can't remember where and a girl I was in college with has a niece called Fay(not sure of the spelling).

I like it. I prefer Fay over Fae, but either spelling is fine. I don't know anyone named Fay, Fae, or Faye. Some people might spell it Faye, but Fay is one of those names with various widely accepted spellings, and that can happen with just about any name that has another widely accepted spelling. I think using Fay would be fine. People might actually be more likely to spell it without an "e" since the "e" is silent, and Fay is less complicated in that respect.
I'd personally go with Fay rather than Faith because Fay doesn't have any religious connotations.

I love Fay (this is my favorite spelling)! Like the previous poster said, Fay is probably the most logical spelling, too. For example, it's not like most people spell May / Mae as Maye (with the exception of Dave Grohl and his daughter's name, Violet Maye).
In real life, no, I don't know any.
Personally, I prefer Fay over Faith.

I know two girls, both around 16, called Faye. However I think Fay wouldn't get too much trouble, as it has always seemed to me the most logial and simple spelling.
I prefer Fay to Faith, as I'm not huge on virtue names.

I like Fay and I've only known one and her name was Billy Fay. I think Fay would be spelled more often as f-a-y and not f-a-y-e. When I worked at the local hospital years ago I did meet a Fe as in Santa. That's kinda neat but I prefer the more traditional spelling ;o)
