It's pretty. I couldn't imagine using it myself, but I can appreciate it.

My friend talks all the time about how she wished she was named this because she almost was. So mostly, it has a good association in my head.

I like it sometimes. It depends. In the right combo it can really shine, and if it's in a good combo I like it a lot. On its own, though, I'm not that impressed with it.

I love Joanna. I think it's gorgeous and down-to-earth, the rare name that is able to be both.I also love the NN Jo, but I don't know if anyone else does.

I love it. I think it's very sweet and unpretentious.

not a fanI don't like it because I think it sounds harsh and it ruins the pronunciation of my own name in the English speaking world. Many English speakers pronounce Joanna and Johanna the same and it really freaks me out, sorry. How about Joan? So much prettier!

Joanna is one of my favourites :)

I love it, but for some reason the spelling Johanna looks prettier.

I don't like it. It's better than Joanne, though.

Prefer Johanna.

I like it! It's not a particular favourite, but it's appealing. So much classier and more timeless than Joanne and the dreary Joan.

I hugely enjoy Joanna! Definitely the best of the Joan-Joann-Joanna trilogy, and a winner in its own right. It's a gorgeous mixture of dance and dignity.

Great phrase - "dance and dignity"!

Mmm, it's alright. Not a favorite but it's a lot better than most names today.

Joanne is OK, a bit dull, but OK. Joanna is better. Johanna fires my imagination. But Joan is dearest to my heart for personal reasons. Wait. I forgot about Ioanna. Loads of character with Ioanna.I know, I know. You only asked about Joanna. But my mind flits about quite a lot. Joanna is a nice, elegant classic that gets overlooked. She's an underappreciated work horse that should get more attention.

I like it, but prefer Johanna. Or Joan.
