Re: "popular names for twins"

I'd go with:
Alexandra and Elizabeth
I'm not a fan of Alex- names but it's only for aesthetics, not because of their popularity or whatnot. They're solid classics at least, so if I have to compromise with a name I'm not a huge fan of to get one I love (Elizabeth) I would follow the general principle of names that attract me. ;-) They'd be something like Alexandra Thomasin "Sandy" or "Sandra" and Elizabeth Alberta, one of my regulars. I like Alexandra Romaine more but didn't want to sound like some Romanovophile. Sandy, Sandrine, and Sandra are saving graces for Alexandra to me, really; I love them to pieces.
Olivia and William
Olivia is kind of a GP for me but something in me does love it so it's not a huge compromise. William has been a long-standing favorite. I'd perhaps use the combos Olivia Lorraine and William Douglas.
Thomas and William
Thomas is one of those second-string favorites of mine that, if pressed, I could possibly become very fond of. I'd go with Thomas Nestor and William Roch, just for some variation.
