I adore the name Viola, but only with the British pronunciation, "VIE-uh-luh." It's been a while since I've seen "Shakespeare in Love," but I believe that is the same pronunciation. As long as it isn't, "vie-O-luh."
Viola Larkspur is a tad nature-y. But my bigger problem with it is that the "L's" are too close together. It doesn't flow well. Viola Catherine and Viola Jane flow much better, even if they are a little on the "safe" side, combo-wise. Viola Artemis is interesting. That one could grow on me a lot.
Are you interested in more combinations?
I don't speak Spanish, but I've never heard that one as an objection to Viola before on these boards, for what that's worth.
