A strange name, an awfull BA and a MN question!
1. The strange name
Yesterday I met a girl named Bev. I thought it was short for Beverly/Beverley but she told me her name is Bevanne. Her parents believed they would have a boy and they chose the name Bevan. When she was born they added '-ne' and named her Bevanne.
Whtat do you think of Bevanne? Have you heard it before? I dislike most made up names but I think this one is nice...
2. The awfull BA
I read this on another message board a few days ago. "David and Jessica welcomed daughter Mysterie Mistie". I know that they both dislike their common names but why on earth did they give their child a superhero-ish name? There are thousands of uncommon or rare names to choose from...
3. The MN question
WDYT is a nice sounding middle name for Vera? She is a character for a story I write and her MN will only be mentioned once or twice but she needs to have one.
Two combos I kind of like are Vera Isabel & Vera Christina.

1. I don't like Bevanne (or Beverly for that matter) but I think there are worse made up names out there.
2. Yuck.
3. I like both middle names so it's hard to pick. My grandmother's name is Vera Leonie (she's always gone by Leonie though)
Vera Elisabeth
Vera Katherine
Vera Penelope
Vera Frances
Vera Laurel
Vera Persephone
Vera Judith
Vera Maeve
Vera Willow
Vera Olive
Vera Noelle
Vera Lily
Vera Elise

I agree; Bevanne is nice.
When I read the birth announcement I giggled; my husband and I are David and Jessica. But there is NO way we'd name a daughter Mysterie Mistie. Its too ... stripper-ish.
I prefer Vera Isobel over Vera Christina. Vera Adelaide was the first thing that popped into being but the double A could be unappeasing.

1. It's alright. I actually like it better than Beverly.
2. Oh my. I'd actually wouldn't mind it so much if it was Mysterie plus a nice middle name, but with Mistie it's just ridiculous.
3. Vera Isabel is lovely.
Off the top of my head, I think Vera Penelope or Vera Pauline would be nice. I kind of like Vera with a P middle name.

-Bevanne is horrible, though it's better than Bevan, esp. on a girl.
-Mysterie Mistie is ridiculous, it sounds like the heroine of a silly children's book. And the "dislike of common names" argument makes me roll my eyes in these cases, since there's indeed zillions of uncommon names that aren't so silly-sounding and made up.
-Vera's very nice. I like Vera Christina. Otherwise...
Vera Julie
Vera Louise
Vera Clarissa
Vera Marcella
Vera Alexandra
Vera Amanda

I don't think I've actually run across Bevanne, but it sounds very 1950's to me, like she'd fit in with Sherilyn and Marilee.
Mysterie Mistie doesn't sound like a superhero. It sounds like deodorant.
Vera needs a plain, simple middle name. Vera Lynn, like the singer, would work. Or Vera Mae, or Vera Jean.

Vera Mae is a nice combo! Thank you!
