Ruth has something about it
That I really like. It's short, it has a long history of usage, the sound is very harsh (and I like that type of name - Vera and Maude are other favorites) and it's been used for in some of my favorite lit. It's not for everyone, but it's a very cool - and in my opinion - powerful name.

Ruth Veronica flows very well, as does Veronica Ruth. I have a certain rule that a one syllable first name should have at least a three syllable middle name, so I would concentrate on long middle names.
