Cash???
I had no idea that this was actually used as a given name!
And I'm not sure that I could take it seriously; "Hey Carrie, make sure nobody takes your Cash!"

Cash is not my style, bit I still view it as a perfectly acceptible name.
Surprised so many people dislike it.
Also...
Cash Colligan is the former bassist of The Cab and current bassist for Play For Keeps, both somewhat known pop-punk bands out of Vegas.
If you have Twitter, feel free to ask him how he feels about having the name. (@cashstwit). Might give you insight on growing up with it, the pros and cons, etc.

It's fine. I prefer it as a nickname, and it isn't my style, but it is fine as a name.
It makes me snicker. I can sort of see it as a nn, at least the kid would have something to fall back on.
I tried to get people to pronounce my name (Caitlin) in the Scottish Gaelic way (kash-LEEN) one summer, and this guy INSISTED on nicknaming me Cash. I hated it. I didn't get teased, but I still hated it.
Bill is far more well-known than Cash. Cash is just a new "cool" trendy name as far as I'm concerned.

I'm very surprised that people consider it 'silly.' When I hear it I think of the character in Faulkner's As I Lay Dying. Personally I would only use it as a nickname to Cassius, which has recently moved down the list anyway, but still its a decent name. And Bill's don't seem to have that many problems "No I need a ten dollar bill..." etc..
I agree. I can't think of it as silly for no other reason than it also happenS to be a word for money.
I LOVE it. It's my new favorite boys' name. I would use it as a nickname for Cassius, though.
Yes please
I'm a bit broke at the mo. LOL, sorry, but it is such a daft name.

I know! It's too silly to be used as a proper name.
I think this is one I'd add to the "Names that make you laugh" thread. It's slang for money, as far as I'm concerned, I think it's a silly name.
I find this name silly. I always assume think someone named Cash would get jokes about having a sibling named Credit, and so forth.
I don't like it as a given name. Maybe a nn...
I don't like it all that much, even as a nn. It's one of those names that sounds like it's trying too hard to be cool.
I know! It's just too silly for me to take seriously.
As a nickname for Casimir, it is nice
Ditto
Also it makes a good middle name for John...as in Johnny Cash!

It's ok as a nickname
like for Cassius or something. I don't care for it much as a given name either. But it's better as Cash than as Kash, I think.
Given a really solid MN though, I'd probably be fine with it:
Cash Abraham
Cash Alexander
Cash Gregory
Cash Tobias
Cash William

Cash is one of my GP's. I wouldn't use it, but I think it's cool :P
