Michaela?
WDYTO Michaela? Today, one of my friends asked me if I knew how to pronounce this name. I said muh-KAY-luh, and then my friend said I was correct.
Do you like Michaela pronounced this way, or is the German pronounciation better in your opinion?
For just a side note, I think that any butchered spelling of Michaela (Makayla, Mikaila...) is really, really, bad.
But the spelling Michaela is very nice. :)

Personally, I love the name Michaela. I despise the altered spellings I see in birth announcements: Mikayla, McKayla, Makalah, UGH!!! I think they're so ugly. The original spelling is so beautiful, and people are just ruining it.
I like the German pronunciation-very pretty-but because I'm American, I'd pronounce it the American way. I think that's pretty too, though.

I like Michaela, with the English pronunciation, but I think it's been spoiled by continuous 'dumbed-down' respellings.
See, I think Michaela is pretty (I pronounce it the English way like you do). I loathe all the butchered spellings and it sickens me that not only are they all more popular than the correct spelling, but tons of people think those are the correct way to spell that name and would have no idea how to pronounce the correct spelling when they see it. Although if they did pronounce it like Michael + a... that actually sounds kinda cool. Too bad it's wrong. :P
Agree with you re: spelling
This is the only acceptable spelling in my opinion. The others just make me sad.
One of my best friends is named Michaela, and I quite like it. She pronunces it Muh-Kay-Luh but sometimes it sounds a little like muh-Kal-uh, but thats probably just our (Australian) accents.
She gets called Kaylie and Kayla by her family, which is quite adorable, and she has quite a few friends who call her Mac.

I really like this name. To me the versions spelled with kayla/kaila in them aren't the same as Michaela. They only sound the same.
I love Michaela! I think it's a beautiful name.
Any other spelling, is atrocius.

I love it. Especially this spelling.
I'm glad you like it! :)
