I prefer Gillian to Jillian, though I far prefer Jill to Gill. I would enjoy Gillian and Juliet as mns for sisters, preferably twins, but I wouldn't use them as fns because they would inevitably get shortened.

Julia is not a name I've eve warmed to, though I've known some nice ones, and Julie is plain and beige and boring.

I like Julia the best followed by Julie. Julia is a pretty name without being overly frilly, and a Julia could always use Julie as a nickname if she wanted to. Juliet is pretty as well. Jillian / Gillian isn't a name I would use myself, but it's a decent name.

I like Julia-it's in my top ten-and I like Juliet. Jillian and Julie are just okay.

I love Julia and don't mind Gillian (with this spelling - the other looks wrong to me). Juliet is okay. Julie is really dated where I live.

Julia is the one I like best. Followed by Julie. Juliet is ok but a bit too "pretty-pretty." I'm not crazy about Jillian, not sure why but it seems a bit stuffy.

I like Jillian and Gillian. I like it spelled better with a G because it looks more sophisticated, but when spelled with a J it looks fresh and upbeat, which I also like.

Juliet is gorgeous. It's so musical. I used to prefer Juliette because I liked pronouncing it with the emphasis on the last syllable better, but now I think I've switched to liking the emphasis on the first syllable better, so I'd spell that Juliet. But really, either will do.

I like Juliet, Julie, and Julia. In that order. Julia is becoming more popular and it seems a little more snobby that the other two, but I still don't dislike it. I do love the nn Jules.

I think Jillian is a strong no-nonsense name that is perhaps a bit plain but it kind of reminds me of Mary or Anne. It is honest. I don't know, it is hard to explain...

Julia is feminine, elegant and classic without being fussy. It has the same feel as Elizabeth, Charlotte or Alexandra to me.

Juliet sounds whiney and too precious. I don't like that I never know how to pronounce Gillian (hard G or soft G...people seem to pronounce it differently) and Julie seems kind of dull and dated to me.

The only one I really like is Jillian. I think it's very pretty. I don't care for Gillian because G is an ugly letter to me, and it would be mispronounced that way. The others just seem dull.

Juliet, followed closely by Julia.

I like Juliet because it's feminine and beautiful. It's literary connection doesn't hurt either. Juliet is a favorite of mine for sure.

Julia and Juliet. Julie seems more like a nickname, and I'm not a big fan of Jillian for some reason. I think that both Julia and Juliet are beautiful names, but if I had to choose I'd go with Juliet. It's not as common and I think it stands out more.
